Skoda Yeti -> Safety

The Feeling of Safety
Because safety is a major feature in the Yeti, you can take on tough off-roading challenges with a touch of arrogance. Advanced features like Hill Hold Control and Hill Descent Control make going up and down steep slopes, a breeze. Its lighting system offers best possible visibility no matter what the conditions. The automatically dimming external and internal rear view mirrors allow you to have a clear rear view irrespective of the intensity of light falling.
Hill Descent Control is a unique feature that helps maintain constant speed while driving downhill and also allows the driver to select the ideal wheel track. The Drive-off Assistant helps the driver when pulling away from a stationary position in difficult situations, e.g. when attempting a hill start or moving off with a towed vehicle. It makes for easy starts on slippery and unpaved surfaces. Whereas the Off-Road Traction Control feature improves grip while driving on loose track such as slush, sand, etc. The Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) reacts quicker and more intensively than the normal mode.

This coupled with adapted Anti Braking System settings, results in engine power being transmitted to the wheel(s) for maximum grip, reduced slippage and fuel wastage; and improved braking. Its front seats are equipped with Active Head Restraints to reduce the chances of injury to the neck in the eventuality of a rear-end collision. The cars’ Engine Immobiliser System stores a new code every time the key is removed from its slot resulting in security from electronically aided smart thefts. Safety achieves new heights in the SKODA Yeti.
Six Airbags
All that rough and tumble calls for some extra protection. The SKODA Yeti comes with 6 airbags that, in addition to the front airbags, include curtain airbags at both the front and the rear, and side airbags at the front. This gives complete protection to all the occupants of the car.
Parktronic
Built-in sensors probe the spaces around the front and rear of the Yeti, thereby determining the presence of obstacles. Whether you’re surrounded by pavement or boulders, parking the SKODA Yeti will prove to be a cakewalk.
Fog Lamps with Corner Function
The fog lights with corner function automatically illuminate the area where the car is about to turn into. Thus providing better illumination for curves with a small radius, adjacent pedestrian crossings and parking spaces.
Hill Hold Control
Uphill drives are a difficult part of any journey; but not anymore. The Yeti’s Hill Hold Control feature makes sure you maintain maximum control over your vehicle when climbing uphill. In this feature, the vehicle automatically keeps the brake active for a short period just after you release it, so that the vehicle doesn’t start to roll back, giving you ample time to engage the accelerator and drive up the slope effortlessly.
