1. How many free services are provided for new cars?
Ans. Company provides first two services free for New cars at service intervals of every 15000 Kilometers or one year whichever is earlier. (Note : The cars which were serviced before 1st May 2009 will follow their regular service interval as mentioned in the service booklet, thereafter will need to follow the service interval of 15000 kilometers or 1 year whichever is earlier) 


2. What is included in free service?
Ans. During free service, only the general service labour is free. The cost of consumables like oil, filters, etc. needs to be borne by the customer.


3. What is the significance of indications on instrument cluster?
Ans. The instrument cluster shows warning indications for certain functions. To know about each one please refer to the owners’ manual or contact your nearest SKODA authorized dealership. 


4. What are the charges of periodic service?
Ans. Charges may vary from service to service depending upon the nature of concern and the number of kilometers the vehicle has run, for detailed brake- up of service charges contact your nearest dealership. 


5. What is the recommended fuel for SKODA cars?
Ans.Kindly refer the label pasted on fuel filling cap (inside) for recommendation of fuel grade. 


6. What is the maximum capacity of fuel tank?
Ans.
  SKODA Superb – 60ltrs
  SKODA Laura – 55ltrs.
  SKODA Fabia – 45ltrs.


7. Can a car get serviced from any other service center in India?
Ans. SKODA cars can be serviced at any of the SKODA Authorized service dealership across the country irrespective of the place of purchase, unless sold in a specific scheme. To avail the service facility, the sales invoice and service maintenance schedule book, is to be provided by the customer, to the servicing dealership. It is also mandatory for the customer to ensure that the service book is updated and the necessary entries should be made for future references. Please refer to the service schedule book for more details about the periodic maintenance of your car.


8. What are the parts that are covered under warranty?
Ans. SKODA offers warranty on new vehicle for the period of 2 years, unlimited kilometers. Please refer to the service warranty book or contact nearest dealership for further details.


9. What is the procedure to get a duplicate key?
Ans. If the customer intends to purchase a duplicate key, he has to contact the dealership for the same. (The key of the car has a specific manual and secret code. These codes are not available with the dealership and are available only with the manufacturer. The manual code is obtained by giving the reference of the VIN no. of the car, and the secret code is received by giving the reference of the VIN no. and immobilizer no. of the car. The dealership needs to get the key from the manufacturer. After the receipt of the key, the same needs to be adapted with the respective car with the help of the secret code. The whole process takes approximately 45 days.


10. What is the advantage of ABS? 
Ans. Antilock Braking System (ABS) prevents wheel lock-up during sudden braking, thus preventing skidding while retaining maneuverability.


11. What is ESP?
Ans. The ESP (Electronic Stability Program) is an electronic stabilization system, which controls under steering and over steering for better maneuverability.


12. What are the benefits of parking sensors?
Ans. Parking sensors are a technology that allows the driver of the car to be alerted to nearby objects in their path.


13. Can I use accessories and parts of any other manufacturers?
Ans. It is advisable to use only SKODA genuine accessories and parts .These are specially designed for your SKODA car which gives guarantee of reliability, safety and suitability. Any damages resulting from technical alterations will not be approved by SKODA to be covered under warranty..


14. Where can I find genuine spares and accessories?
Ans. SKODA genuine accessories and parts are available only at SKODA authorized dealership.


15. Is there any guarantee on SKODA genuine accessories and parts?
Ans. SKODA Auto India offers warranty on SKODA Genuine Parts & SKODA Genuine Accessories for a period of 2 years unlimited Kilometers from the date of fitment by authorized dealer.


16. What is Cruise Control System (CCS)?
Ans. The cruise control system (CCS) maintains a constant speed, more than 30 km/h (20 Mph), once it has been set, without you having to depress the accelerator pedal. This is only possible within the range which is permitted by the power output and Braking power of the engine. The cruise control system makes it possible - particularly on long journeys - for you to rest your “accelerator foot”. 


17. How much should be the oil consumption in the vehicle?
Ans. It is normal for the engine to consume oil. The oil consumption may be as much as 0.5 Lit/1000 km depending on your style of driving and the conditions under which you operate your vehicle. The oil consumption may be slightly higher than this during the first 5000 kilometers. One should therefore check the oil level at regular intervals, preferably every time after the fuel tank is filled or after driving for long stretches. 


18. What does the letters in the tyre rating signify?

19. Is there any warranty on Tyre & Battery etc?
Ans. Batteries,Horns and tyres are originally equipped on SKODA Cars are warranted under a seperate warrnty provided directly by respective manufactureres for 1year and not by SKODA Auto India , contact your nearest SKODA dealerships for warranty of these component 


20. Is there any warranty on Paint & corrosion? 
Ans. SKODA Auto India offers 2 years warranty for paintwork defect and 2 years warranty on perforation corrision of bodywork.

24. What is diference between PD(Pumpe Duse) & CR(Common rail) technology.
Ans. In PD technology fuel is injected through unit injector (which is a combination of Pump & Injector), whereas in CR the injectors are connected to common rail (high pressure rail) and the fuel is injected through injectors (dedicated high pressure pump develops high pressure and supplies the fuel under pressure to common rail). 


25. What are the advantages of CR technolgy?
Ans. The advantages of having CR engine are Lower engine noise, Smooth idling & acceleration , low fuel consumption and clear enviornement i.e. low emmission of pollutants. 


26. Is it satisfying BS IV norm?
Ans. Yes it is satifsfying BSIV & Euro IV Norms also.

28. What is the recommended engine oil for SKODA cars?
Ans. SKODA recommends usage of synthetic oil from Shell. The advantage of synthetic oil is that it can withstand higher temperature and can work longer without losing its lubricating properties. It doesn't get thicker at below-zero temperatures providing good engine lubrication at cold start.
